The Principal of the college Hon’ble Dr. G. M. Baghele has carved niche in the academic arena by pounding up many courses besides running the basic streams successfully. The College offers wide range of programme options for the students in all the faculties of Arts at UG level for bright future in civil services i.e. MPSC , UPSC.
The college has launched UGC sponsored skill based Vocational courses and add-on-courses looking at the needs of industries to develop technically skilled personnel, NSS for Social Developement so as to create more employment avenues for the students.
The sincere, qualified and versatile faculties of the college are dedicated to the cause of providing quality education to the students as well as for their personality development. Though the primary objective is to give higher education to all students, Matoshri Sonabai Goswami Mahavidyalaya also strives hard to inculcate social, moral and cultural values among the students. Students are constantly motivated to participate in Co-curricular, Sports, Cultural and all such activities so as to foster their creativity, potential and talent. Seminars and Workshops are an integral part of the college activities. Various extension activities are regularly carried out through NSS, Nature club, Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti, Organ Donation, Donation to Orphanages, Save Bird Save Nature, Lions Club and Extension Education Departments of the college.
In fact this encouraging environment makes teachers take forward the vision developed by the management through various committees. Teachers are made to spearhead various committees to run the college more effectively and efficiently. Committees like the Examination Committee, the Admission Committee, the Library Committee and the Cultural Committee and many more work in the sync with the vision of Principal and Management. College NSS Unit is another fine example of making students play active participatory role in developing ideal society. Even the Sports department helps in shaping personality of the students to face the challenges of world.

Education Society
Sushant Shikshan Sanskar Sanstha Education Society was founded in the year 1983, by great patriot Late Shri Bhaiyyalal Goswami along with his colleagues of cadre with very limited resources and extreme hardships. He was a dedicated Freedom fighter who firmly believed in Gandhian philosophy. Education not only improves one’s life and helps in character building but also plays a major role in Nation building. With this vision, to train young minds with patriotism and national values, to educate and to develop self confidence in them, this Society was established. With his strong will, commitment, strength, determination and the strategic support of Hon’able Shri Sushant Goswami, who also happens to be the president of sushant Shikshan Sanskar Sanstha Education Society, the Society has developed from its humble beginning into a mammoth entity. The Society conceptualized its journey by starting Sanjay Gandhi Jr College Tedha, Matoshri Sonabai Goswami English Convent School and Matoshri Sonabai Goswami Mahavidyalaya to cater the demand and need of education in the backward areas.
Hon’ble Shri Sushant Goswami, former President,sushant Shikshan Sanskar Sanstha Education Society, always believed in empowering all through education and had a dream of imparting higher education to all of Vidarbha region. The acumen displayed by him led to the establishment of Matoshri Sonabai Goswami Mahavidyalaya Tedha in the year 2019. Since then, there was no turning back and sushant Shikshan Sanskar Sanstha Education Society in general and Matoshri Sonabai Goswami Mahavidyalaya in particular scaled high and won much appreciation all around. He is indeed the ‘heart’ sensitizing intellect of the Society with his able guardianship. He wanted to endow to find the tenacity to stay on course to meet revolutionary needs of the time. Dynamic, resourceful and committed, to take the society to new heights of excellence; innovative, forceful, enthusiastic and zealous blends his earnest urge for progressive transformation with a strict yet harmonious nature that inspires us all.
Our current President, Hon’ble Shri. Sushant Goswami cherishes Society as a live entity of intellectual aspirations. Known for his highly skilled, technical and entrepreneurial approach, he searches for constant innovation, showing no signs of faltering in his resolve, while exploring higher levels of education. Trusting firmly in the values of integrity, transparency and modesty, our President believes in creating a friendly work culture based on merit, nurturing human beings who are well educated and capable of addressing global issues. His silent yet efficient mode of operation in the Society has to be seen to be believed. With his farsightedness and wisdom, he has ushered society as a whole in the golden era. By imparting positive work culture among the stakeholders, college progressed by leaps and bounds. Better infrastructure, classrooms with digital learning facilities, well equipped laboratory facilities, rich library, sports facilities, hostel facility and much more have put our society amongst the premier societies.
